We use a range of interventions, including ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) sessions, the Zones of Regulation, and explicit teaching of social and self-regulation skills. Staff also give children the time they need to process information, ensuring learning takes place at a pace that works for them. Emotional wellbeing is central to our approach, with caring teachers who take time to build strong, positive relationships and who value pupils’ individual interests.
Our team includes an in-house Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) who not only supports pupils directly but also provides guidance and training for staff, ensuring strategies are embedded across the school. In addition, our staff receive regular training in common SEND needs, such as dyslexia and autism.
We take a “needs-first” approach, adapting provision to suit each child rather than making assumptions based on a diagnosis. For those who need it, we offer a personalised curriculum, tailored carefully to their unique learning journey.
We know that the best outcomes are achieved when school and home work in partnership. That’s why co-production with parents is so important to us: we listen, collaborate, and plan together so that every child feels understood, supported, and empowered to succeed.
