In Spring Term, children across the school study Gymnastics and Dance. These key areas help to develop the children’s flexibility, balance, coordination and team work skills.
To enhance our learning, the children are given the opportunity to take part in Dance and Yoga workshops, taught by specialist instructors from the PE and School Sports Network (LPESSN). During these workshops, we explore the links between mental health and wellbeing and movement. We always leave feeling super calm, relaxed and ready to learn!
Every Year, Year 5 and 6 children at Hollydale take part in Bikeability, a programme designed to boost confidence through cycling. Check out how confident our Year 5 children are already! We even had the opportunity to go out on the roads and practise safe cycling with our instructors.
